My personal interpretation of these wise words of wisdom from quality management guru W Edwards Deming is as follows:
- a process always entails a start-point, an end-point and a developmental path of transitory points in between, with the end in mind;
- that's to say, we should know where to start and how to start, and naturally, where and how to complete the requisite task(s);
- this forward trajectory gives us the opportunity to plan ahead, act accordingly, observe closely and reflect constantly, what we have set out to do;
- we just stay focused on our strategic objectives, but remain flexible in our tactical execution;
