Yep! To me, the last part - bias for action - actually makes all the difference!

Transposed to a personal setting:

It's the sweat equity of following-up and following-through whatever you have set out to do in your game plan, with the end in mind, with intense effort and focused execution!

This is my take on a question in Quora:

My Comments:
Frankly, it doesn't matter, for it depends on whether you are a visual or auditory learner.
What matters the most is what you are doing after the learning and acquisition.
The harsh reality is this: Knowledge is not measured by what's stored in the headspace after acquisition; it's always defined by your productivity, i.e. what you do and what you don't do.
To put it in a most realistic perspective, the ultimate fire test of your reading or listening endeavour is whether you have transmuted the lessons into creating a productive outcome or construct a concrete deliverable that will eventually add/compound/multiply value to your life, or to your work, or to your business, or even to your client(s).
To paraphrase Tony Robbins, let your LESSONS lead to ACTIONS!
As a matter of fact, the late Bob Proctor said it best:
"No amount of reading or memorizing will make you successful in life. It is the understanding and application of wise thought that counts."

There lies your personal ROI.

Godspeed to you!

A QUOTE TO PONDER

ONLY ACTION PRODUCES RESULTS!

This ruthless realism of bias for action is not just for the entrepreneur, but also for the professional who wants to stay relevant - and remain ahead - in today's VUCANT world!

A BIAS FOR ACTION

"A key challenge for today’s companies – and for the individuals within them – is to build a culture of action . . .

If you want the future to be better than the present, you have to start working on it immediately.

Remember: What you want is better than, not optimal.

Your job is to do something today that’s better than what you did yesterday.

And to do something tomorrow that’s better than what you did today."
