FROM DILIP MUKERJEA

"Genius is in-born, may it never be still-born."

"Oysters, irritated by grains of sand, give birth to pearls. Brains, irritated by curiosity, give birth to ideas."

"Brainpower is the bridge to the future; it is what transports you from wishful thinking to willful doing."

"Unless you keep learning & growing, the status quo has no status."

In retrospect, I am sure glad that I have had read - and practised what I have had learned from - Peak Learning: How to Create Your Own Lifelong Education Program for Personal Enlightenment and Professional Success, by Ronald Gross, a highly acknowledged pathfinder in informal learning.

I must thank my sensei Patricia Danielson from New England, USA, who not only gave it as present to me when we first met in Singapore, in the early nineties, but also taught me the operating mechanics of Photo-Reading. She has had been a co-developer with Paul Scheele.
The classic is a versatile tool kit for those who want to become active, adventuresome, and accomplished learners.
The "peak learning system" consists of a set of tools, techniques, hints, and ideas that adults can use "to achieve broader, deeper, and more personal learning skills."
In the final chapter, Gross reveals how we can each tap into what he calls the Invisible University — "the multitude of sources of information, advice, and help that can assist you in your learning."
Today, these resources are best exemplified by the convenience of the Internet and the facility of the Google Search Engine, as well as the wide use of social media.
