Writing in his new book, Creating a Learning Planet, Dilip Mukerjea shares some ZEN WISDOM APPLICABLE TO OUR APPROACH TO TRANSFORMING EDUCATION
“The truth knocks on the door and you say, “Go away, I’m looking for the truth,” and so it goes away. Puzzling.”
- Robert M. Pirsig, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance: An Inquiry Into Values;
Sometimes what you are looking for comes when you’re not looking at all.
My Comments:
It is important to embrace no-self and/or egolessness as an educational as well as a leadership virtue.
This Zen mindset entails accepting what is and not being held up by judging ourself for feeling a certain kind of way.
Astonishingly, people find that letting things be also allows them to change.
We should look at our inner selves with openness and acceptance rather than judgment.
