ONE MORE PAGE FROM DILIP MUKERJEA'S NETWORKING EXCURSIONS: MRS SUDHA MURTHY
Dilip Mukerjea certainly walks his talk, so to speak... Inspired People, Inspiring People.... To me, it cuts both ways.
In the foregoing snapshot, Dilip is seen with Mrs Sudha Murthy [in the centre], the esteemed second-half of software industrialist Narayana Murthy, also billionnaire founder & chairman emeritus of the giant Infosys information technology services conglomerate, with headquarters based in Bangalore, India.
Mrs Murthy, an engineer by training, is known for her social as well as philanthropic work through the Infosys Foundation.
It was her savings of Rs. 10,000 that was instrumental in the founding of Infosys. Her esteemed second-half, Mr Murthy has proudly mentioned this fact on several occasions.
As an accomplished writer, Mrs Murthy has crafted many stories, mostly published by Penguin, which deal with common lives & her views on social issues. Some of them include 'Sweet Hospitality' & 'Wise & Otherwise'.
One, 'Dollar Sose', was even adapted for an English television serial, as 'Dollar Bahu' in 2001.
In fact, she was in town to launch one of her new books at the National Library Board premises about two & a half years ago. Standing next to her was another author, Sheila Dhir.
