Ideas suggested, but not activated, are as much use as a race-car without fuel. Ideas activated but not monitored can lead to inefficiencies, and eventually become unaffordable.

The above six-step process will help organisations monitor the effect of ideas and the worth of people suggesting these ideas.

The CEO of an organisation needs to account for, and be accountable to, the prospects of each enterprise; every accountant should support the CEO by incorporating the above set of measures so as to establish a real-time Innovation Status Quo for the organisation.
