Braindancing Bytes: 'ARE YOU SLEEPWALKING INTO THE FUTURE?', by Dilip Mukerjea

The most productive institutions are the ones that create a very high energy level. When people are not productive, it is not because they are useless; it is because they are used less. In not being used, they are left abused…ignorant of their in dwelling array of brilliances.

In order to educate, we must engage, entertain, enlighten. We achieve what we prepare for, not what we hope for. Ignorance is not bliss; it is a voluntary misfortune.

The essential difference between ‘institutions’ and ‘reality’ is the way they enable the processes of creation and destruction…ergo, creative destruction.

For example, despite the passage of time, many corporations, and many more educational institutions are sleepwalking into the future. They are built on the assumption of continuity, unaware of the dynamics of life, future-unready!

But reality dances to the rhythms of discontinuity, focusing on the forces of creation and destruction, intolerant of underperformance. The demise of ‘sleepwalking’ institutions is inevitable…victims, from a lack of competitive adaptiveness.

Discontinuity dominates in a world of volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity.

Consider: Are your institutions deadened to the need for change?

Choose: Move ahead, or stay ‘dead’.

The vital skill for leaders today is crisis management.

Think: Are you breathing or seething?

IS YOUR BRAIN IN A COFFIN?

OR IS IT SWITCHED ON?

Welcome to the human brain, the cathedral of creativity.

Complex systems often exhibit catastrophic behaviours, where one part of the system can affect many others by a domino effect. As long as we’re trapped in old structures, we cannot adjust.

The Recipe? NEVER stop learning. DAILY get better at something, anything. And get better as a person. DAILY! You will then metamorphose hostility into harmony.

Know that the darkest moments of your life do carry the seeds of the brightest tomorrow! Go for it!
